In its first foray into the professional-level hybrid market, Apple recently unveiled the iPad Pro. Different from the previous iPad iterations, the iPad Pro is poised to be a business-type model rather than an entertainment, all-around device. It will be released in November and will come with accessories like its own Fast Type keyboard and the Apple Pencil.
Meanwhile, other tech brands are also trying to enter the professional-level tablet market with their own take on a hybrid 2-in-1 device. One of the rumored upcoming players in this niche is Dell's XPS 12.

If the rumors are true, the XPS 12 will have the advantage of being released sooner than its other competitors, meaning it can easily top the features of other brands already in the market. For example, the XPS 12's rumored display comes out on top against that of Apple's iPad Pro and even Microsoft's current offering, the Surface Pro 3.

The Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook. It is rumored that Dell will be releasing an XPS 12 tablet with the bright, 4K display of the XPS 13.
Allegedly, the XPS 12 will enter the market with a 12.5-inch, Ultra HD screen with 4K resolution, which will give out a brighter and more detailed display than the iPad Pro's Retina Display. Meanwhile, while the iPad Pro's screen is slightly bigger at 12.9 inches, Dell has reportedly chosen to provide a wider workspace for users through its proprietary company technology — the XPS 12 is said to use the same InfinityEdge display technology of another Dell innovation, the XPS 13. This will give the XPS 12 a wider screen since the bezels on all sides will be much thinner.
Data transfers will also be a cinch, with Dell hoping to rival the iPad Pro's proprietary Lightning connector. The XPS 12 will reportedly come out with the much faster Thunderbolt 3 connector instead of the usual USB 3.0 seen in most Windows-run (like the Surface Pro 3) devices.
