Duties and Responsibilities of Sales Tax Inspector
Sales Tax Officer

- Handle cases related to payment of Sales Tax by dealers/vendors
- Contact defaulters and obtain information regarding payment of taxes
- collect the information of dealer’s current debtors and serve a notice under section 33 of the MVAT Act, 2002 on all debtors
visits the place of business/shop/factory/godown, etc as well as place of residence of the dealer for the purpose of execution of warrant of attachment. - Do the Panchnama for attaching the property
- Arrange and be present for the auction of property
