"Attack on Titan" season 2 has not yet revealed its official release date, but fans are already formulating the story arc of the upcoming series.
Several publications suggest that the upcoming season reveals the death of major characters in the film.
Latin Times slipped out spoilers pointing out that Captain Levi Ackerman is most likely going to die in "Attack on Titan" season 2. Noting that the next season will take on manga chapter 73, where it will focus on the death of Captain Levi while saving the new squad, Shiganshina trio consists of Eren Yaeger, Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert.
In addition, spoilers also claimed that the second installment will get to feature more of Ymir and Krista Lenz, revealing that Lenz is actually a Historia Reiss, the daughter of Rod Reiss.
According to Crunchy Roll, the anime series will most likely be released next year.
"The anime is set to return to TV to continue the adaptation of Hajime Isayama's hit manga in 2016," the publication reported.
Furthermore, director Testsuro Araki confirmed that "Attack on Titan" season 2 release date is indeed happening in 2016, according to Anime News Network.

"Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source," the synopsis read.
"A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of titans."
While spoilers of the upcoming "Attack of Titan" season 2 are merely possibilities, it should be noted that the speculations were based on the manga, which is very much likely to be adapted in the anime series.
